The Museum, located 100 South Street in Providence, will feature a pair of events, held at a time of day suitable for all ages:
New Year’s Noisemakers: 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Kids and families create shakers, popsicle stick harmonicas, and other noisemakers.
New Year’s Parade and Ball Drop: 12:00 PM & 2:00 PM
Children’s Museum visitors get a head start on welcoming 2014. At 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM, families join a procession through the Museum with their noisemakers, culminating in a ball drop to ring in the new year!

Celebrate to the MAX at this mega party in downtown Providence. The Wizard of Oz New Year’s Bash

Last year The Dorrance rang in the New Year with 007 and this year they’re going Old Hollywood with a Wizard of Oz-themed bash. In honor of the groundbreaking film’s 75th anniversary, guests can look forward to ruby red cocktails, as well as performances by Miss Wensday & The Cotillions, The Chifferobe TropiGals, and a flying monkey or two, among other surprises! Hosted by Playboy Playmate Shawn Dillon, this black and white affair features entertainment by four-piece cover band Element 78 and music by DJ Hevan.
